Plant Accountant

As an Operations Analyst II, you will strengthen costing accuracy and provide insights that support pricing, budgeting, and operational improvements. You'll partner with Finance and Operations to drive better decisions and cost clarity, including on-product costing and performance trends. The role blends on-site operations exposure with ERP-enabled analysis to scale cost transparency across the plant. This position offers growth in manufacturing finance within a collaborative, values-driven environment.

• Develop, maintain, and finalize product cost models; respond to ad hoc costing requests
• Analyze cost variances and trends; translate into actionable insights
• Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for plant and business leaders
• Partner with Operations to gather information, validate assumptions, identify improvement opportunities
• Spend 10% of time on the plant floor to build product/process understanding
• Work with SAP ERP and related tools to ensure costing accuracy and data integrity
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and decision support

• 3+ years of costing, manufacturing finance, plant accounting, or similar analytical role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Experience building or analyzing cost or pricing models
• High attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience; manufacturing or plant finance experience; SAP or ERP system experience

• Curiosity about how products are made and how costs are generated
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Confidence partnering with operations and influencing decisions using data
• SAP or ERP systems experience
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas)
