Overview In this role you will manage a designated commercial loan portfolio, overseeing underwriting quality and ongoing portfolio metrics. You will support Relationship Managers to maintain strong client creditability while mentoring junior teammates. You will lead complex transactions and ensure compliance with bank and regulatory standards. You will work cross-functionally to optimize processes, risk management, and credit actions in a high-impact portfolio setting.

Responsibilities- Underwrite, monitor, and analyze assigned commercial portfolios with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to risk appetite and regulatory standards
- Lead complex transactions including syndications and multi-level capital structures; communicate recommendations clearly to committees
- Track and manage portfolio KPIs/KRIs and ensure portfolio remains within tolerances
- Support Relationship Managers in managing client relationships and optimize credit quality and customer satisfaction
- Present proposed credit actions in written analyses and verbally in meetings or committees
- Mentor junior Underwriting Portfolio Managers and participate in group-wide process improvements
- Contribute to regulator/internal/loan review reviews to ensure depth of underwriting and stress testing
- Perform related duties and projects as assigned
Key requirements- 5 years of job-related experience
- Excellent project management, communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency with PC and MS Office applications
- Knowledge of commercial lending (C&I & Cap markets), underwriting practices, and banking regulations
- Ability to travel occasionally
- BS or BA in a relevant field
