Overview As Associate Director, you will lead cost management across a Seattle portfolio of clients and large-scale projects. You will provide strategic commercial leadership, manage client relationships, and guide cross-functional project teams. Responsibilities- Lead a cost management team and ensure delivery against accountabilities
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all project stages
- Maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
- Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities
- Coordinate with general contractors, owner's reps, and others to integrate cost management within the construction process
- Oversee strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls across multiple projects/sectors
- Be the primary reporting contact for overall commercial status of projects and programs
- Promote Turner & Townsend best practices across project delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve procedures, templates, and products
- Conduct staff performance reviews and set team strategy
- Coach and mentor talent to build high-performing teams
- Support capital planning, contracting and procurement strategies
- Build strong client and cross-functional relationships and participate in senior leadership meetings
- Capture lessons learned and share through internal knowledge systems
- Attend networking events and advocate for a one-business culture
- Ensure SOX controls where applicable
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience in cost/quantity surveying or commercial management
- Construction consultancy experience preferred
- Subject matter expertise in Quantity Surveying; RICS or equivalent accreditation preferred
- Experience leading cost management services on complex construction projects/programs
