Overview In this role you will promote and sell agricultural equipment to both new and existing customers, building strong relationships and delivering tailored product recommendations. You will work with cross-functional teams to guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to closing, while keeping CRM up-to-date. You help customers understand product fit and drive long-term satisfaction. This position offers a competitive base with uncapped commissions and a company vehicle, framed by Ziegler's customer-first approach and extensive product lines. You will impact market share and customer success by delivering value across product, parts, and service offerings.

Responsibilities- Promote and sell equipment to prospective and existing customers
- Serve as primary contact between customers and Ziegler, ensuring a positive experience
- Build rapport while balancing personal and professional relationships
- Assist walk-in customers promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with the Ag Regional Sales Manager, product specialists, and manufacturer reps
- Meet with customers on-site to assess needs and provide tailored recommendations
- Follow up on leads and inquiries promptly
- Prospect new customers to grow market share
- Create quotes and provide product information to support decisions
- Conduct machine presentations and demonstrations to illustrate capabilities and fit
- Manage the sales process with effective questioning and active listening
- Maintain customer data and sales activities in the CRM
- Prepare and submit sales contracts accurately and timely
- Plan pricing strategies aligned with company policy
- Maintain knowledge of competitive products and industry trends
- Collaborate across departments to support a team-selling environment
- Resolve customer issues to maintain satisfaction and long-term relationships
- Maintain relationships with key accounts to sustain opportunities
- Promote products, parts, and services based on customer needs
- Present a professional appearance at all times
- Plan ahead for customer calls, territory activities, and strategic opportunities
Key requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree preferred in business or agriculture-related field
- Strong agricultural background
- Prior sales experience in ag equipment a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and CRM systems
- Strong work ethic and urgency
- Willingness to operate equipment for demonstrations after training
