Overview In this role you drive the mechanical design of in-house server chassis, partnering with engineering and product management to ensure robust, manufacturable designs. You will review 3D/2D CAD data, perform DFM assessments, and shepherd system layout and interference analyses. You'll lead cross-functional teams to optimize layouts, cable routing, and reliability, shaping products for datacenter environments. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented position with a focus on design for manufacturability and durability.

Responsibilities- Review server system architecture and DFM early in projects
- Create and verify 3D/2D CAD drawings and models
- Perform system-level interference, tolerance, and cable routing analyses
- Lead cross-functional teams on system layout and placement
- Conduct design risk assessments and FMEA to ensure reliability
- Support electro-mechanical product development and issue resolution
Key requirements- 8+ years in mechanical design for computer/server/embedded products or 6+ years with a Master's degree
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related design experience
- Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD; SolidWorks/Cero mentioned)
- Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents
- Experience with DFM/DFMEA and tolerances; familiarity with manufacturing processes
