Senior Project Manager, Commercial Interiors Construction

Overview

In this role you will lead large commercial interior construction and tenant improvements in the NYC area, driving projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work closely with owners, architects, and landlords to deliver high-end fit-outs on $5M-$10M+ programs, shaping spaces for corporate, financial, retail, and institutional clients. You'll manage budgets, schedules, and risk, while supporting business development and maintaining NYC code compliance. This is a senior, impact-focused position in a growth-minded firm.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end project delivery for commercial interior and tenant improvement projects
  • Own budgets, cost forecasting, billing, and change orders
  • Serve as primary contact for owners, tenants, architects, engineers, and landlord reps
  • Negotiate GC/CM contracts and subcontractor agreements; resolve disputes
  • Supervise Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Superintendents
  • Maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project; manage critical path
  • Ensure NYC DOB compliance and site safety programs
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation in Procore or equivalent
  • Support business development through client relationships and proposals
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • 5+ years in interior fit-out/tenant improvement/renovation projects in NYC metro
  • Track record delivering projects of $10M+ from start to finish
  • Knowledge of NYC Building Code, DOB filing, and union labor environments
  • Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project, and Bluebeam
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
