Overview As a Senior RF Engineer at Leidos Defense in Huntsville, you will design, test, and troubleshoot RF subsystems for aerospace and military platforms. You will work across high-frequency bands and integrate hardware with software and systems teams to deliver mission-critical solutions. The role involves collaboration with manufacturing and system design teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs. Responsibilities- Design, troubleshoot, and test RF exciters, transmitters, and receivers
- Design, troubleshoot, and test RF PCBs, modules, and chassis across L-band, S-band, C-band, X-band, Ku-band, Ka-band
- Collaborate with firmware/software engineers across the product lifecycle to develop application software and test equipment
- Engage with manufacturing teams to apply DFM practices and resolve issues during manufacture and test
- Integrate products into larger systems by working with system design teams
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field
- 12+ years of experience in high-speed electronics design and/or RF hardware design (or 10+ years with MS degree)
- US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain secret security clearance
- Experience in design, test, and manufacture of analog/mixed-signal PCBs or integrated RF/microwave assemblies
- Expertise with radar and communications principles
- Hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators) and debug/test methods
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to relocate to Huntsville, AL area or reside in North Alabama
