Overview Bạn will serve as the technical expert for environmental compliance, shaping and executing plans to meet current and future air, water, and waste regulations. You will work across the organization to optimize air quality programs, monitor emissions, and maintain permits, while driving continuous environmental performance. This role supports sustainability goals and ensures safe, compliant operations in a fast-evolving manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with operations, training, and management to translate complex regulations into practical actions.
Responsibilities- Oversee and update environmental compliance programs in air, water, or solid waste management
- Maintain emissions data records and operational logs
- Prepare and submit reports (EI, TRI, GHG, deviations)
- Prepare, submit, and maintain air permits (Title V, NSR/PSD, minor sources)
- Analyze emissions data from CEMS, FTIR, stack tests, and other methods
- Recommend process or equipment changes to reduce emissions
- Support environmental assessments for new or modified processes
- Assist operations with control devices maintenance and efficiency
- Conduct internal air compliance audits and corrective actions
- Develop and deliver air compliance training for staff and contractors
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to management
- Support sustainability initiatives (GHG reduction, energy efficiency)
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve compliance
- Manage hazardous and chemical waste programs
- Perform environmental, health, and safety audits
- Provide onsite hazardous materials management and waste shipping per RCRA/DOT
- Understand OSHA regulations and MP Materials HSE practices
- Respond to chemical spills with containment and cleanup
- Keep facility personnel informed about environmental regulations
- Simplify complex regulations into actionable procedures
- Develop site training to ensure compliance with emphasis on prevention
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related discipline (required)
- 5+ years' experience in environmental, health, and safety or related field
- Professional certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH) are a plus but not required
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication
- Ability to train and direct others (peers, contractors)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of air quality regulations and permits (Title V, NSR/PSD)
- Experience with CEMS, FTIR, and stack testing
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret emissions data
