Overview As a Tax Senior Manager in RSM's Financial Services practice, you lead high-value tax engagements for asset management clients, shaping tax strategy and ensuring quality. You'll mentor teams, coordinate cross-functional services, and drive growth across the client portfolio. You address complex tax issues with clear, non-technical communication and uphold firm standards. Responsibilities- Lead complex tax engagements and deliver high-value tax advice to Asset Management clients
- Possibly assume people leadership responsibilities within the team
- Manage multiple issues concurrently and communicate clearly to clients and service teams
- Drive growth and profitability by expanding services and cross-selling within existing clients
- Serve as Tax client service coordinator and execute the firm's client service plan
- Advise clients on planning, research, compliance, and M&A activities
- Review research findings to ensure alignment with firm policies and standards
- Build cross-line relationships to ensure integrated, excellent client service
- Manage client needs with cross-functional engagement teams (state/local, international tax, tax tech, M&A, etc.)
- Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years of experience in business taxation at a Big 4 or large firm, or equivalent in industry or law firm
- Active CPA license in state of residence or primary office, or active EA/license or Attorney license
- Extensive tax compliance and consulting experience serving Asset Management clients
- Strong knowledge of tax code and tax preparation/compliance
- Ability to manage and grow a book of business
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and client teams from start to finish
