Overview In this role, you drive growth for BMO by managing key corporate client relationships and delivering strategic financial solutions. You will lead high-value deal structuring, credit approvals, and cross-selling to grow revenue and portfolios. You act as a primary client advocate, ensuring alignment with client needs and bank objectives while mitigating risk through compliance and insightful market analysis. Responsibilities- Foster growth by developing and managing key client relationships and revenue streams
- Lead structuring of high-value, complex deals and oversee credit approvals
- Drive pricing coordination and serve as the client advocate aligning client needs with bank objectives
- Negotiate and close high-value transactions while ensuring compliance and risk controls
- Manage high-value client portfolios with cross-selling, retention, and profitability focus
- Lead market coverage strategies and identify new opportunities to expand portfolios
- Represent the bank at industry events to gather insights and inform strategy
- Provide strategic advisory on loan products, terms, rates, and collateral
- Collaborate with internal teams to define products/solutions that fit client needs
- Monitor market trends and client industry developments to refine solutions
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management in all client interactions
- Deliver performance and market insights to leadership to inform strategy
- Identify share of wallet opportunities and optimize client returns using analysis tools
- Operate as a specialist resource to senior leaders across the enterprise
Key requirements- 10+ years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, or Portfolio Management in a corporate banking environment with sales metrics
- Bachelor's degree
- Credit qualifications and knowledge according to portfolio requirements (if in Credit Qualifiable role)
- Strong product knowledge, regulatory compliance, structuring deals, portfolio management, and credit risk assessment
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and customer relationship skills
- Proven ability to manage complex client issues and resolve conflicts with strategic problem-solving
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and driving cross-selling initiatives
