Overview In this Electrical Project Engineer role, you will lead electrical design for complex facilities and mentor a team of engineers and CAD staff. You'll collaborate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to translate needs into robust electrical solutions for data centers, airports, and similar facilities. You'll balance technical design with project oversight, ensuring code compliance and timely deliverables. Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers and CAD staff to deliver master planning, systems analysis, site studies, and construction documents
- Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings including power, lighting, and one-line diagrams
- Develop and review specifications for lighting and power systems; perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations
- Coordinate with clients, other departments, and design teams; participate in criteria development and site surveys
- Review shop drawings and submittals; conduct construction observations and prepare reports
- Provide technical supervision and mentoring; ensure timely project deliverables and compliance with local and national codes
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Minimum one-year supervisory experience or equivalent leadership skills
- Ability to pass background checks and security screenings as required by clients/FOF contracts
