Overview As Lead Estimator you shape cost plans for large, complex heavy civil and mechanical projects. You will collaborate with Senior Estimators to deliver accurate, timely estimates across bid-build, design-build, and EPC environments. You drive quantity surveying, subcontractor and vendor scoping, and self-perform cost estimates, while meeting tight deadlines. This role hooks you into pursuit leadership and cross-functional teamwork within Skanska's mission to build for a better society. Responsibilities- Develop accurate cost estimates for large, complex heavy civil and mechanical projects
- Perform quantity surveys and prepare subcontractor and vendor scopes
- Analyze quotes and estimate self-perform work
- Coordinate with Pursuit Sponsor on project opportunities
- Meet critical deadlines and work effectively within a team
- Support bid strategies across bid-build, design-build, and EPC delivery models
Key requirements- 5+ years of relevant estimating experience
- Bachelor in Engineering or Construction Management or Similar Technical Training
- Basic management approaches (scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, process execution)
- Advanced knowledge of the job area with practical experience
- Self-starter with ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
