Overview In this role you will plan and design gas distribution systems to meet objectives while complying with codes and standards. You will work within a team to support design, construction, operation, and maintenance of regulator stations, telemetry, and distribution projects. You'll develop procedures, coordinate with customers and authorities, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance. You will contribute to emergency restoration efforts and travel as needed, shaping reliable gas infrastructure. This position offers hands-on impact in a safety-sensitive, field-driven environment.

Responsibilities- Design systems and installations to meet objectives while conforming to standards
- Perform site layouts and prepare procurement and construction documents
- Specify and procure materials and equipment
- Develop field procedures for compliance with standards and regulations
- Coordinate construction activities with customers, contractors, States, municipalities and internal teams
- Assist in oversight to ensure code compliance and alignment with Gas Control
- Review purchase requisitions and related invoices
- Cultivate positive working relationships to coordinate work
- Assist in gas distribution system restoration during emergencies
- Travel to operating districts and gas facilities as required
Key requirements- Thorough knowledge of distribution construction and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations
- Knowledge of welding and fusing principles
- Working knowledge of environmental requirements
- Familiarity with MS Office and AutoCAD
- Three (3) or more years of related experience
- Gas experience preferred
- Valid motor vehicle operator license
- Engineering design experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication
