Overview As Drainage Section Manager, you will serve as Engineer-of-Record for drainage design on transportation projects, guiding the full design and post-design lifecycle. You'll lead a team, coordinate with disciplines and clients, and ensure quality control while mentoring junior staff. You'll help grow the business through client relationships and marketing efforts. This role sits in our Critical Infrastructure team, contributing to sustainable, resilient transportation solutions. You drive impactful drainage solutions at scale and shape project outcomes.

Responsibilities- Serve as Engineer-of-Record for drainage design on transportation projects
- Lead project coordination and document development across disciplines and clients
- Establish work plans, oversee engineering documents and permit packages, track progress
- Perform Quality Control reviews
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Facilitate career development and formal/informal feedback for staff
- Develop client relationships and participate in marketing activities including preparing materials and proposals
- Negotiate with clients to advance fee proposals and project scope
Key requirements- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- 15+ years of progressive transportation drainage design experience including FDOT projects
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to lead drainage design for complex projects and manage a team of drainage engineers
