Overview As Plant Superintendent, you lead the Duncan, SC shift in coordinating production, staffing, and budget use to meet FMVSS-compliant output. You align operations with company goals, drive efficiency, and ensure safe, quality manufacturing of automotive seats. You work closely with leadership to resolve issues, deploy improvements, and manage performance across teams. This role offers impact through lean initiatives, process optimization, and product launches that shape plant success. You will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing, collaborative production culture.
Responsibilities- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and direct assembly activities
- Plan schedules, assignments, and production sequences to hit targets
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and compliance with standards
- Train and mentor new employees and supervise performance
- Monitor production metrics and investigate deviations to keep on schedule
- Coordinate cross-department operations with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop production goals, budgets, and resource plans to meet customer requirements
- Lead continuous improvement efforts (Lean, Six Sigma) to reduce costs and boost efficiency
- Oversee new product launches, equipment installs, and major process changes
- Provide strategic leadership to align plant operations with company goals and financial targets
Key requirements- Bachelor
- Five years' management experience in the Automotive Industry or related field
- Willingness to rotate shifts
