CFO Advisory, Senior manager

In this Senior Manager role, you will lead and deliver accounting advisory engagements for a national practice with hybrid/remote options and travel as needed. You'll guide technical accounting work, implement new standards, and prepare financial statements while mentoring junior staff. You'll interact with client leadership to drive closing and policy improvements and support business growth within the Advisory practice. This is a fast-paced role that blends client service, integrity, and project leadership to transform clients' accounting functions.

• Manage and deliver accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting, standard implementations, reconciliations, and financial statement prep
• Direct and mentor junior professionals and participate in engagement planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and deliverable drafting
• Engage with client leadership (CFOs, Controllers, business owners) to understand needs and achieve objectives
• Identify and remove bottlenecks by evaluating information flows and leveraging automation/digital processes
• Advise on accounting system selection/implementation and coordinate with technology partners
• Support growth by scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements
• Maintain strong client relationships and adapt communication to client and firm needs
• Travel up to 40% as required to support engagements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; strong US GAAP knowledge
• 7+ years in public accounting or industry, performing audit, accounting, or consulting
• Experience with technical accounting and understanding of accounting processes and internal controls
• Interest in technical accounting matters; able to navigate ambiguous/complex client assignments
• CPA and/or MBA preferred; experience in sales and client engagements advantageous
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
