Overview In this role, you will design, develop, test, and improve high-frequency RF and microwave products using advanced resistive technologies. You'll work from concept to production, collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and PM to meet performance, cost, and schedule goals. You'll explore new materials and design approaches, build prototypes, perform measurements, and document results. Responsibilities- Design and develop RF/microwave products from DC to 65 GHz+ with up to 2000 W average power
- Support new product development through concept, analysis, prototyping, and production release
- Research new technologies and materials to improve existing products
- Contribute to RF passive product lines (attenuators, terminations, bias tees, gain equalizers, directional couplers, dividers/combiners, temperature-sensitive resistors)
- Perform RFEM modeling, simulation, and design optimization with industry tools
- Assemble, test prototypes, and conduct S-parameter, power, and thermal characterization
- Analyze test data to ensure compliance with specs and customer needs
- Support cross-functional teams in issue resolution, waiver reviews, and customer inquiries
- Support manufacturing improvements, yield, and cost-reduction efforts
- Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and design records
- Participate in design reviews and adhere to quality standards and continuous improvement programs
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years in RF/microwave or related product development
- 2+ years hands-on RF/microwave design with CAD/EM tools such as Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR Microwave Office, Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio
- Experience designing/testing RF/microwave circuits/components/assemblies
- Strong RF measurement skills with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters
- Experience S-parameter characterization and data analysis
- Proficiency with MATLAB or similar for data analysis; LabVIEW or similar for automation preferred
- CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Familiarity with modern manufacturing and assembly methods
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Able to travel occasionally
- Eligible to access export-controlled information; ability to obtain US government security clearance if required
