Overview In this role you will lead cost estimation efforts for complex projects, guiding profitability through accurate budgets and valuable preconstruction insights. You will collaborate with the estimating team and project management to translate designs into reliable costs, while mentoring less-experienced estimators. You'll produce comprehensive preconstruction reports and validate budgets with trade partners. This in-office position blends technical precision with cross-functional teamwork to drive project success.

Responsibilities- Prepare estimates at all design stages
- Mentor estimators and share knowledge
- Collaborate with project teams to support client success
- Develop Preconstruction Status Reports including cost indicators, cash flow projections, schedule and logistics
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to validate budgets
- Interpret drawings and technical manuals and quantify materials
- Perform on-screen take-offs of material quantities
- Draft and publish estimate clarifications
- Summarize material quantities in an organized manner
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering (or equivalent)
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years estimating experience (10+ years preferred)
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, industrial, or public-use projects (preferred)
- LEED Accredited Professional or ability to become within 18 months (preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Team-oriented and collaborative
