Overview In this Mechanical Engineering Manager role, you lead the Aviation (Design Build) group to deliver complex mechanical systems from concept through execution. You will guide cross-functional teams, align scopes and schedules with project managers, and ensure adherence to budgets. You'll solve multi-discipline problems, nurture client relationships, and support strategic proposals. You will shape technical direction and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team in a fast-growing aviation portfolio.

Responsibilities- Build and manage project teams by allocating staff to project managers
- Develop and review scopes, schedules, and budgets for group work
- Coordinate across the organization to meet utilization goals
- Monitor performance, ensuring alignment with scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and project issues
- Cultivate relationships with clients and staff
- Support proposal opportunities aligned with the group
- Participate in RFP/RFQ processes including site visits, client meetings, scope development, and technical execution planning
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- P.E. license
- 10-15 years MEP experience
- Leadership experience (informal or formal) preferred
- HVAC design, fire protection and related calculations experience
- Hydronic systems design and flow/pressure calculations
- Sizing and specifying mechanical equipment
