Machine Shop Manufacturing Supervisor - Level 3

Overview

In this role you lead a unionized manufacturing team in the Dynamic Components group to deliver high-quality helicopter components safely and efficiently. You will drive production performance, manage scheduling and costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold ethics, safety, and manufacturing excellence, shaping the operations of a world-class aerospace facility. This position offers opportunities to impact throughput, quality, and cost in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Drive team productivity while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets
  • Review COPQ and Discrepancy Reports and initiate corrective actions
  • Manage and approve employee timekeeping in SAP
  • Ensure effective shift turnovers and clear communication to all team members
  • Participate in daily business meetings and reinforce policy adherence
  • Prepare work schedules and manage overtime/time-off in SAP
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining EH&S standards
  • Promote an ethics-based culture and manage the production budget
  • Oversee direct and indirect budget responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Production team and stakeholders to achieve department goals
Key requirements
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid technical and customer-facing abilities
  • Knowledge of government and company flight procedures a plus
  • Must be a US Person
  • Experience leading union-represented employees in a dynamic production environment
  • Leadership with strategic thinking
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management
  • Adaptability under shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures for aircraft production
  • CNC machining knowledge
  • Experience with SAG/CAD or equivalent production tooling understanding
