Overview In this role you will lead CLA's Transaction Tax practice, driving client value through tax due diligence, structuring, and modeling for M&A. You'll manage new business development, client relationships, and mentoring for the team, while coordinating with SALT, international, and federal tax specialists. Responsibilities- Manage and develop relationships with new business development and existing clients; mentor team members
- Deliver tax due diligence, structuring, and modeling for acquisitions and dispositions for PE, family offices, and strategic buyers
- Collaborate with CLA specialty tax groups (SALT, International Tax, Federal Tax Solutions) as needed
- Perform tax due diligence by reviewing tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements; write and review reports
- Lead engagement progress by monitoring time, budgets, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license required
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in federal, state, and/or international tax compliance, planning, and consulting
- JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of a CPA license
