Overview In this role you drive financial planning and analysis for Amazon's North American Sort Centers, partnering with cross-functional teams to inform decisions, enable scalable and sustainable processes, and support cost reductions. You will build and maintain complex models, deliver regular performance reporting, and help shape investments and initiatives for a growing network. Responsibilities- Identify basic control risks, evaluate impact, propose improvements and remediate gaps
- Deliver weekly and monthly financial performance reports
- Consolidate plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations using financial systems and advanced MS Excel
- Work with diverse data sources, identify data quality issues, and drive solutions
- Communicate data clearly to diverse audiences using active listening and tailored communication styles
- Identify and implement solutions to automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes
- Prioritize work, manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and seek feedback
- Drive self-development in the Finance Community and share knowledge across teams
- Lead root-cause analysis to uncover core issues for cost reductions and performance insights
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of finance experience
- Knowledge of Excel and SQL
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation
