Overview In this role you will advise and represent clients in family law matters, including separation, parenting disputes, and support issues. You will manage a caseload, draft documents, and appear at hearings, mediations, and other proceedings. You will communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff to keep matters moving professionally. You will grow within a supportive team, gaining guidance from experienced colleagues and shaping practical strategies.
Responsibilities- Advise and represent clients in family law proceedings (separation, parenting disputes, support matters, post-judgment changes, enforcement).
- Prepare a broad range of documents (court filings, motions, discovery, negotiated resolutions, correspondence).
- Appear at hearings, mediations, depositions, and other court proceedings to advocate for clients.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Oversee an active caseload from initial consultation to final outcome while delivering high-quality service.
- Research legal questions, assess developments, and propose practical strategies based on facts and law.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to support case preparation, negotiation, and litigation planning.
