Overview In this role, you will build and manage commercial client relationships in the middle market, focusing on revenue growth and profitability. You'll coordinate loan, deposit, and fee-based solutions, while cross-selling with bank partners. You'll work with cross-functional teams to understand client cash flow, assess risk, and guide credit decisions. Responsibilities- Source and develop new lending, deposit, and financial service opportunities
- Prospect and cultivate relationships across the region to expand the client base
- Lead loan discussions from opportunity through closing, including documentation and underwriting
- Serve as primary banking contact, delivering tailored financial solutions
- Provide annual relationship reviews to identify future needs and opportunities
- Analyze client cash flow and business model to support risk-aware lending
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market products and industry trends
- Collaborate with Fulton Partners and Retail Relationship Managers to enhance client experience
- Track opportunities and client activity in the sales platform and stay current on tools
- Ensure timely credit reviews, risk ratings, and documentation; monitor delinquencies and exceptions
- Support regulatory compliance and risk management across assigned portfolio
- Operate within risk tolerance to achieve sales goals and portfolio growth
- Engage in industry-specific business development (e.g., Agriculture, CRE, Government Services)
- Participate in joint calling with senior leadership to grow opportunities
- Maintain a stable network of prospects through regular outreach
Key requirements- Bachelor or equivalent experience
- 6+ years Commercial Credit or Commercial banking experience
- 2+ years managing a large, complex client portfolio
- Strong knowledge of diverse businesses, markets, and financial concepts
- Proven ability to establish and grow new business relationships
- Self-directed, decisive, and able to navigate ambiguity
- Ability to anticipate client issues and follow through on commitments
- Solid understanding of credit and risk principles, policies, and procedures
- Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under deadlines
