Overview In this role you will develop high-quality private equity content and thought leadership to position the PE practice as a market leader. You will collaborate with partners, attorneys, and the business development team to create market reports, client advisories, articles, and other materials. You will manage matter descriptions and support pitches, proposals, and research while ensuring accuracy and brand consistency across channels. The position emphasizes translating complex PE trends into accessible narratives for legal and non-legal audiences. You will work in a collaborative, client-focused environment that values discretion and professional excellence.
Responsibilities- Draft and edit the annual PE Market Report and other thought leadership pieces
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and business development to develop client advisories, podcasts, newsletters, and external articles
- Support matter descriptions, case studies, pitches, and proposals for business development
- Assist with award nominations and copy development across channels
- Ensure content accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with firm branding and confidentiality
- Translate complex data and strategy into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Maintain matter descriptions and ensure robust documentation for future use
- Navigate multiple priorities and evolving strategy to support growth objectives
Key requirements- Advanced knowledge of the private equity industry and comfort with PE research tools
- Ability to write concise, clear thought leadership on trends, regulatory developments, and case law for diverse audiences
- Excellent grammar and spelling; ability to learn and apply firm style guide
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities; sound business judgment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in hybrid/remote and in-office settings
- Experience communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Minimum five years of experience practicing law and/or writing about private equity matters
- Minimum three years of experience writing client-facing thought leadership content
