Overview

In this role you drive asset strategy and investment outcomes for commercial/industrial assets. You will work with cross-functional teams and external partners to optimize leasing, capital planning, and asset performance in line with investor goals. You will lead analysis, financial modelling, and strategic recommendations to inform acquisitions, financings, and dispositions. The position emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decisions, and scalable processes to enhance portfolio value.

Responsibilities
  • Refine asset strategies based on performance, market trends and investor goals; present recommendations to management
  • Direct leasing and marketing efforts; prepare spaces for market; work with brokers; respond to LOIs; negotiate leases
  • Oversee third-party property managers, project managers and tax consultants focusing on cost control and efficiency
  • Partner with acquisitions from underwriting to closing to support smooth transitions
  • Support appraisals, refinancing and disposition processes with financial analysis
  • Conduct hold/sell analysis and valuation reviews to support long-term value
  • Analyze property operations, financial statements, budgets and variances; coordinate with accounting for reporting
  • Collaborate with joint venture partners and developers on strategic initiatives and development projects; manage draw requests
  • Manage capital projects and coordinate with portfolio management and engineering for execution
  • Support portfolio management with quarterly and ad hoc reporting
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven real estate asset management or acquisitions experience, preferably commercial or logistics assets
  • Proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise; strong financial modelling and analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple complex assets independently in a dynamic environment
  • Understanding of leasing, operations, capital planning and key financial metrics (IRR, NPV, cash-on-cash)
  • Negotiation skills for leases and interpretation of legal/RE documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to management and investors
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel; experience with Yardi and VTS is a plus
  • Interest in exploring AI to improve workflows
