Senior Associate, Infrastructure Project Advisory (Project/Program Construction Management & Controls )

Overview

In this role you help shape capital infrastructure projects by reviewing and enhancing construction management practices. You'll lead contract reviews, compliance checks, and project oversight for large programs within KPMG's Deal Advisory. You'll work with cross-functional teams to produce insights, reports, and recommended improvements, while contributing to a culture of learning and collaboration. The position offers opportunities to grow professionally in a global advisory practice and to influence project delivery at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Review and improve construction management processes and internal controls
  • Lead construction contract reviews, compliance audits, and project oversight for large capital projects
  • Define and implement policies, procedures, internal controls, reporting, and IT support for construction management
  • Conduct project reviews on percent complete, change orders, schedule delays, and related risk areas
  • Collaborate with diverse engagement teams to collect data, analyze, document, and present observations using analytics/visualization tools
  • Participate in mentoring and work under guiding leadership to apply leading practices
  • Uphold integrity and professionalism in all interactions
Key requirements
  • Minimum three years of field construction management or construction advisory experience on large capital projects for public or private clients
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, CCM, CPA, AIA) preferred
  • Knowledge of planning, WBS, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, quality management, reporting, closeout
  • Field construction experience across project types and client types
  • Experience with project management information systems and other toolsets
  • Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and organization skills
  • Willingness to travel; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
