Senior Construction Project Manager

Overview

In HDR's Field Services, you lead the development and construction of high-quality infrastructure projects, ensuring designs are built to demanding standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and resource planning, delivering safe and reliable highway, bridge, and related facilities. As an employee-owner, you help uphold HDR's collaborative culture and commitment to quality, integrity, and client outcomes. This role offers impact at a community and global scale, with the chance to shape project delivery and field practices. You will be at the front lines, driving excellence and stewardship in every project.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise and management oversight for diverse construction projects
  • Prepare project budgets and schedules
  • Handle personnel matters, workload management, and consultant contracts; establish engineering practices for project delivery
  • Plan, prepare and analyze documents; manage construction contracts
  • Forecast and track fiscal budget and cash flow for workforce, facilities, vehicles, equipment and resources
  • Assist various crafts, disciplines and subcontractors in executing their work
  • Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services
  • Coordinate and manage survey and layout work in the field
  • Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
  • 10 years related experience in estimating, bidding, purchasing, scheduling and field engineering
  • Professional engineering license (PE or equivalent)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software; web-based document collaboration software
  • Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active participant in an employee-owned culture
