Overview In this role you will drive improvements in tooling and manufacturing processes for shells, primers and cartridges. You will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues, implement cost-saving opportunities, and ensure equipment and process changes meet standards. You will contribute to new product introductions and major equipment projects while maintaining safety and quality. Responsibilities- Develop tooling and process improvements to manufacture existing products
- Investigate production difficulties and implement corrective actions
- Identify and realize cost reduction opportunities in materials, machines and processes
- Review tool and machine part drawings for tolerances and finishes; initiate Engineering Change Orders
- Assist in machine guarding design and OSHA-compliant implementation
- Collaborate with new products group on product introductions
- Manage major equipment failure projects including capex justification and scheduling
- Review bills of materials and routes for accuracy and cost savings
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering
- CAD training, SolidWorks preferred
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets
- Strong mathematical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Broad technical standards knowledge and ability to apply them
