Overview In this role you design high voltage battery pack components for multiple aircraft programs, collaborating with CAE, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing. You provide hands-on prototyping and build support, and you work with integration and certification teams to satisfy FAA requirements. You push battery design boundaries to meet aerospace standards. Responsibilities- Design high voltage battery pack components from start to finish for multiple aircraft programs
- Collaborate with CAE, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure design success
- Provide hands-on prototyping, build, and root-cause support throughout the design cycle
- Work with integration and certification teams to meet FAA certification requirements
- Advance innovative battery designs to meet aerospace requirements
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in high voltage battery design for automotive or aerospace
- Strong fundamentals in structural design, materials, statics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluids
- CAD experience (NX preferred), tolerance stack analysis, 2D drafting with GD&T
- Experience developing parts with various manufacturing processes in prototype and production settings
- Ability to use simplified tools and CAE for rapid development
