Overview As a senior systems engineer, you will shape the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise platforms and cloud services. Responsibilities- Define platform strategy, direction, architecture alignment, and modernization roadmaps
- Lead cross functional initiatives across Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Support, and business stakeholders
- Establish engineering standards, automation principles, and platform governance models
- Own platform reliability, scalability, resiliency, lifecycle planning, and business continuity
- Drive automation first approaches for infrastructure, deployments, and support processes
- Provide CI/CD governance, release standards, artifact management, and deployment maturity
- Lead observability, monitoring, logging, and service health strategies
- Act as escalation point for complex issues and major incidents
- Lead root cause analysis, problem management, and prevention of recurring issues
- Guide capacity planning, cloud cost optimization, licensing strategy, and lifecycle planning
- Own disaster recovery strategy and continuous improvement
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads
- Influence decisions through alignment and tradeoff communication
- Ensure compliance, cybersecurity, access governance, risk management, and audit readiness
- Define SOPs, runbooks, and support readiness standards
- Balance technical, operational, and business priorities under pressure
- Foster collaboration across Architecture, Development, Operations, Security, Product, and Support teams
- Aim for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and engineering discipline
Key requirements- 7+ years in cloud platforms, infrastructure services, platform engineering, and cloud governance
- Experience with containerized workloads, orchestration platforms, microservices, and cloud-native deployment patterns
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, release automation, artifact management, and deployment governance
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, observability, logging, and service health telemetry
- Security controls, access governance, RBAC, separation of duties, and compliance practices
- Experience leading platform upgrades, lifecycle management, migration planning, disaster recovery, and resiliency improvements
- Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure, application platforms, integrations, networking, and operational workflows
- Ability to define standards for SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of cost optimization, capacity planning, license management, and lifecycle planning
