Overview In this HR Business Partner role, you will act as the strategic HR advisor for plant operations and regional distribution teams. You'll coach leaders, handle complex employee relations, and lead retention, performance, and manager development initiatives. You'll work across multiple states and time zones to ensure compliant, effective HR practices in a manufacturing and distribution environment. This position offers hands-on partnership with operations to shape workforce capability and organizational design, with a clear focus on impact and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities- Advise and coach plant operations and distribution leaders across multiple sites
- Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations in collaboration with HR Director and legal
- Lead the full performance management cycle including goals, reviews, calibration, coaching plans, and PIPs
- Ensure multi-state compliance and tailoring HR practices to local requirements
- Analyze turnover and engagement; collaborate on retention initiatives
- Support workforce planning, org design, leveling, staffing, and succession for regional structure
- Collaborate with operations and EHS to reinforce safety and compliance
- Lead or support change management during growth/transitions
- Contribute to compensation, leveling, and offer decisions with HR Director
- Develop people-leader capability through coaching, policy consistency, and training
- Coordinate with HR Generalist on day-to-day execution, escalations, and process improvement
- Promote AI-enabled continuous improvement to redesign and automate HR processes
Key requirements- 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing/distribution environments
- Working knowledge of multi-state employment law and applying it across a distributed workforce
- Proven experience handling complex employee relations and coaching managers
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to build trust with leaders
- Effective communication across time zones and varied management styles
- Understanding of AI tools beyond routine tasks and willingness to apply them to processes
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field (or equivalent)
