Responsibilities- Develop and install direct/indirect labor standards and methods
- Track labor utilization and line balancing
- Conduct Job Ergonomics evaluations
- Analyze constraints and perform cycle time analysis
- Plan manpower distribution and review daily staffing
- Prepare cost estimates for new/revised methods
- Review plant layout, processes, and material handling changes
- Execute time and motion/MODAPTS studies and review proposals
- Create cycle line layouts for current/future models (ACAD)
- Lead job methodization and process allocations
- Coordinate engineering changes and planning
- Perform value stream mapping and process audits
- Develop cost-saving project proposals and write projects
- Interface with Production Supervision and teams involved
- Assist planning of labor allocations for mix and line speed changes
- Collaborate with UAW to settle job disputes
- Engage in continuous improvement and process optimization
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Industrial Engineer in Manufacturing
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive change to production departments
- Flexibility to rotate to various plant positions (Production or Quality)
- Strong adherence to Quality Operating System
- Demonstrated ability to execute and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to mentor production staff (hourly and salary)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
