Overview In this role, you lead HDR's WWEM practice, directing technical capabilities, risk management, and strategic growth across markets. You'll mentor technical leaders, shape project delivery, and strengthen HDR's industry presence through client engagement and professional collaborations. You will drive quality, apply advanced tools, and coordinate teams across locations to deliver multi-discipline wastewater solutions. Responsibilities- Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class
- Build relationships with related business classes, market sectors, and operations
- Lead technical risk management through reviews and claims prevention
- Drive QA/QC processes and coordinate with Quality Manager
- Oversee development and application of technical standards and tools
- Ensure staff awareness of emerging technologies and effective staff allocation
- Collaborate with market sector directors on strategic planning and trends
- Lead applied research and engage with industry organizations to advance capabilities
- Foster relationships with university programs for workforce development and research
- Facilitate cross-office teamwork and communication within HDR's structure
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions across the program
- Oversee PARR process and lead review coordination
- Coordinate staffing and strategic hires within the business group
- Support client development and project pursuits through technical expertise
- Represent HDR in industry events and publications
- Encourage lessons learned for project delivery and process improvement
- Mentor staff and ensure alignment with HDR values and culture
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field
- Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles with core service oversight
- Experience developing and managing diverse teams
- Strong collaboration with other business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers
