Responsibilities- Perform detailed stress analysis on doors, control surfaces, landing gear, and other mechanisms
- Develop and validate structural specifications and load path strategies
- Conduct performance and functional tests for actuated systems
- Optimize material usage for weight and durability goals
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate designs into aircraft programs
Key requirements- US Citizen; must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospce Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics
- Experience with stress analysis of mechanized aircraft structures (doors, bell cranks, control surfaces, canopies, landing gear)
- Experience with classical stress analysis methods (hand calculations and automated algorithms)
- Experience with Finite Element Models (FEA)
- Experience in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary engineering environment
