Overview In this role you sponsor plant-system health and drive performance by coordinating Plant Support Engineers. You will lead outage-related efforts and align team actions to maximize station efficiency. You'll guide staffing, budget, and performance reviews while steering cross-group responses during operations and outages. This role offers impact across safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in a nuclear plant environment.
Responsibilities- Manage activities of System Health Teams
- Represent Plant Support Engineering on outage management teams
- Direct monitoring of plant systems to optimize performance
- Develop action plans and track completion of performance improvement initiatives
- Facilitate staffing and staff development
- Lead and coordinate activities of contributors within the group and across work groups
- Conduct performance reviews and salary actions; monitor performance
- Plan and coordinate large work-scope projects and task teams
- Allocate personnel and budget to meet department/site goals
- Lead station troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision making
- Assist fleet counterparts in executing corrective actions and technical challenges
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical) or related Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Detailed knowledge of power plant systems (pumps, motors, and auxiliary systems) and associated engineering principles
- Extensive knowledge of codes, standards, plant procedures, and nuclear-regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
- Professional Engineering registration desired
