Overview In this role you support accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients within CBIZ CPAs, contributing to quality and timely service. You will work with engagement teams to understand client needs, manage budgets, and deliver work within deadlines. You help develop client relationships and identify cross-service opportunities that add value. You will mentor junior staff, contribute to practice development, and uphold firm standards in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. This position offers meaningful impact through hands-on client work and specialization development within a leading professional services firm.
Responsibilities- Complete accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients and report progress to engagement managers
- Understand client business and perform engagement planning and analysis
- Adhere to budget constraints and explain variances; achieve charge hour goals
- Review work of associates and provide constructive feedback; may supervise staff
- Train and mentor junior staff; participate in client billing processes
- Develop knowledge in selected specialty areas and leverage cross-service opportunities
- Participate in practice development activities and professional networking
- Perform administrative duties and handle additional responsibilities as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
- 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
- CPA candidates preferred
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication across all organization levels
- Proficient use of applicable technology
