Account Manager (Sales and Business Development)

Overview

In this role you drive new fleet and OEM sales for the NEXIQ product line, partnering with cross-functional teams to expand market share in the heavy-duty and commercial vehicle space. You'll translate customer needs into winning strategies, manage high-value accounts, and shape collateral and product messaging with Marketing. The position offers exposure to product development, pricing, and strategic planning at a growing Snap-on business unit. You will work to meet revenue targets and build lasting customer relationships in a dynamic, field-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow new fleet and OEM accounts and target companies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer needs, industry trends, and competitive products
  • Collaborate with internal and external sales channels to increase EQS fleet program market share
  • Create and implement new sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth
  • Maintain deep understanding of EQS products and applications and demonstrate diagnostics to customers
  • Expand revenue base and lead NEXIQ into new markets while meeting revenue targets
  • Forecast revenue, address risks to prevent shortfalls, and provide strategic feedback
  • Develop account plans, track activities, and seek approvals for new procedures or policies
  • Understand product cost, lead times, production schedules, and the product development process
  • Support corporate branding and collateral development with Marketing
  • Share customer and market data to inform corporate strategies
  • Identify revenue opportunities and craft winning, high-margin contracts
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years sales experience in commercial vehicle, automotive service tools and/or equipment industries
  • Excellent presentation, account management, customer relations, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and ability to explain concepts to customers with varying technical levels
  • High integrity and accountability
  • Computer literacy across MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and possibly Visio
  • Ability to demonstrate vehicle repair/diagnostic equipment
  • Strong written communication skills for varied audiences
  • Willingness for extensive overnight travel
  • Experience using experience-based planning and initiative to achieve goals
