Overview In this role, you will help manufacture and integrate components for the Raptor engine, driving scalable, reliable hardware for high-rate production. You will collaborate with design, test, and production teams to optimize processes and lead small projects end-to-end. This position integrates mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and software aspects to deliver manufacturable engine hardware for Starship. You will influence hardware decisions, own process improvements, and contribute to flight readiness on a mission to enable humanity to explore and inhabit new worlds.

Responsibilities- Develop manufacturing and integration processes for Raptor components and assemblies; simplify, optimize, and automate deliveries
- Conceptualize and drive innovative manufacturing processes to support high-rate production
- Collaborate with design engineers to maximize manufacturability and reliability of hardware
- Oversee introduction of new products and revisions; manage multiple projects concurrently
- Maintain holistic ownership of the production line including tooling, equipment, ergonomics, and safety
- Lead root cause investigations across development, production, test, and launch with corrective actions
- Coordinate peers through informal leadership and self-directed program organization
- Interface with fabrication shops and vendors to meet production goals
- Work with production teams to ensure on-time or ahead delivery of hardware
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience with engine, fluid, or system design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test (internship or project team experience acceptable)
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
