Overview As Vice President of Accounting, you will lead the accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and scalable operations. You'll partner with the CAO and senior leaders to shape accounting strategy and drive transformation. You will oversee SEC reporting, controls, and real estate accounting while guiding a high-performing team through growth and change. Responsibilities- Lead accounting strategy and governance alongside the Chief Accounting Officer
- Oversee SEC reporting (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and ensure U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Manage core accounting ops: real estate accounting, capex, debt, treasury, cash, AP, insurance, transactions, master data, close processes
- Drive transformation and process improvement: automate, simplify, and scale accounting processes
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting, Internal Audit, external auditors, Blackstone partners, and business leaders on complex matters
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting leaders and maintain a high-performing team culture
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required
- 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience with substantial public company & SEC reporting
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements
- Experience leading large, multi-functional accounting organizations and external audits
- Proven ability to drive change, automation, and accounting transformation initiatives
- Strong executive presence, business acumen, and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
