Overview In this role you will design and build data integration workflows and reporting systems to support analytics at SCE. You will optimize data pipelines and collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to enable scalable insights. You help ensure data quality, continuity, and governance across large datasets and platforms. Responsibilities- Optimize performance and scalability of critical data pipelines
- Develop reusable, parameterized pipeline components and templates
- Support Data Scientists in model development
- Design pipeline architectures and ETL/ELT processes for business initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements and identify improvements
- Ingest and preprocess data from multiple sources; optimize ingestion capabilities
- Troubleshoot production pipelines and ensure continuity and integrity
- Contribute to data dictionary and data mapping; design Data-as-a-Service solutions
- Ensure protection of sensitive data and cybersecurity standards
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- 5+ years of experience with large data sets and data transformation
- Experience with SQL (PROC SQL, PL/SQL or similar) is a plus
- 5+ years with data processing, transformation, aggregation, and filtering
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and reusable components
- Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing, and data quality
- Experience with production data solutions including troubleshooting, testing, and change management
- Experience driving process improvement and automation to scale business processes
