Overview

As Senior HRBP for Stanford Athletics, you act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders to shape people strategy in a high-performance environment. You partner with DAPER units to diagnose needs and elevate leadership effectiveness, leading initiatives across athletic functions from training and performance to facilities and fan experience. You will drive performance consulting, employee engagement, organization design, talent management, and compensation initiatives on campus. This role blends strategic influence with hands-on HR leadership to support Stanford's NCAA championships tradition.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on employee and labor relations, including complex investigations and accommodations
  • Advise on compensation matters and collaborate on incentive programs and salary planning
  • Lead employee engagement surveys and programs, analyze results, and design action plans
  • Support HRIS/People Analytics by reporting, data interpretation, and custom reporting
  • Consult on performance management, setting expectations, goals, check-ins, and evaluations
  • Guide Talent Acquisition strategies for hard-to-fill roles and candidate experience
  • Advise on Talent Development initiatives and coaching/mentoring programs
  • Lead Talent Management and Workforce Planning analyses and action plans
  • Support Change Management efforts with stakeholder analysis, measures of success, and communications
  • Handle Disability, Leaves, and Workers' Comp discussions and staffing plans aligning with goals
  • Provide research, data analytics, and reporting to inform leadership decisions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant HR experience
  • Strong HCM/ATS experience and proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience leading an HR initiative or program
  • Strong business acumen, judgment, and stakeholder influence
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with diverse client groups
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation and communication (oral and written)
  • HCM/ATS experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Google Suite
