Overview In this Senior Presales Architect role, you will translate complex data solutions into concrete architectures that meet customer needs. You'll work closely with account teams to articulate value and guide migrations or integrations across hardware, software, and services. Serving the Bay Area and potentially federal clients, you'll shape technical wins and help customers adopt HPE data solutions at scale. Responsibilities- Lead deep-dive discussions to capture customer technical needs and assess current IT landscapes
- Translate technical requirements into implementable solution architectures and identify alternatives
- Collaborate with account teams to communicate value propositions and negotiate effectively
- Deliver compelling presentations linking features to business outcomes
- Protect and grow the customer base through technology upgrades and strategic planning against competitors
- Maintain accurate pipeline updates reflecting technical status and progress toward close
- Orchestrate a smooth handoff to implementation by aligning teams and identifying training needs
Key requirements- Presales Solution Architect or Sales Engineer experience
- 5+ years in presales
- Proven experience designing and selling storage solutions for structured and unstructured data, data protection, data availability, and cyber resilience
- Strong relationships with regional channel partners (e.g., WWT, CDW, SHI, Insight, IIS, Computacenter, BlueAlly)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; public speaking and consulting skills
- Experience with large and complex enterprise customers
- Experience running infrastructure and software Proof of Concepts
