Overview

As a Construction Claims Analyst, you enable lender-ready due diligence and risk-informed decisions within the Energy Dominance Financing portfolio. You will work across engineering, legal, finance, and project controls to translate technical findings into defensible outputs and monitor lifecycle aspects of large-scale energy projects. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support DOE and LPO credit, monitoring, and certification processes. This role offers impact in shaping project risk management and financial assurance for federal energy initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide independent engineering advisory support for due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities with emphasis on claims, delay analysis, and cost impacts
  • Review project documentation and interfaces, identify risks and mitigations, validate assumptions, and prepare defensible work products (claim files, schedule impacts, cost backups)
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders for timely lender and DOE decision-making
  • Support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable
  • Contribute to data room reviews, draw package checks, issue closure tracking, and independent engineer reports for DOE/LPO governance stakeholders
  • Participate in site observations, interviews, risk register updates, and monthly monitoring meetings as needed
  • Translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications for program governance
  • Assist in risk assessments and change-order reviews to support contract claims and dispute avoidance
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, or related field
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, or PMI-RMP
  • Experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, or federal clients
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills; ability to produce lender-ready outputs
