Overview As Mechanical Engineer III, you design, test, and integrate mechanical systems for next gen UAVs. You'll work within a design team to move concepts through detailed design, build prototypes, and validate hardware. You'll collaborate across engineering and manufacturing to drive feasible, cost effective solutions. Responsibilities- Design structural, electro mechanical, payload, ground equipment, and launching systems
- Develop manufacturing drawings and BOMs to industry standards
- Analyze proposals and assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs
- Support design reviews, project planning, and supplier coordination
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and ensure solutions meet schedules and budgets
- Perform mechanical analysis, prototyping, and testing of lightweight robotic systems
- Create and interpret engineering drawings per ASME Y14 standards
- Proficient use of SolidWorks and MS Office in design and communication
Key requirements- 5-8 years designing complex mechanical systems with hardware transition
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in machined, composite, plastic injection molded, sheet metal parts, wire and mechanical assemblies
- Hands on prototyping experience for lightweight robotic systems
- Experience designing electro mechanical systems with thermodynamic constraints
- Competence in mechanical engineering processes and design/analysis tools
- Proficient at SolidWorks; proficient with MS Office,
