Overview As Vice President, Logistics you will lead the enterprise logistics and distribution strategy, shaping how goods move across the company and its affiliates. You will drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective inbound, intercompany, and outbound logistics, including fleet, transportation, warehousing, and procurement. You will partner across functions to standardize processes, implement technology, and optimize networks at scale. This role offers the chance to influence EBITDA and value creation through data-driven decisions and strategic partnerships.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Lead safe, reliable, and cost-efficient movement of inbound supplier freight, intercompany materials, and outbound finished goods
- Oversee company-operated fleet, third-party transportation, rail, freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Manage freight procurement, transportation technology, and logistics performance measurement
- Govern transportation terms and freight responsibilities; negotiate major carrier and 3PL agreements
- Drive enterprise transformation, process standardization, technology implementation, and integration of acquisitions
- Design or optimize distribution networks, lanes, fleet structures, and shipment flows
- Leverage data and KPIs to improve safety, service, productivity, costs, and working capital
- Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Legal on freight responsibilities
- Lead cross-site leadership across multiple facilities, regions, and operating models
Key requirements- Ten or more years of progressive logistics/transportation/distribution leadership experience
- At least seven years in senior leadership within a multi-site industrial or similarly complex environment
- Proven track record negotiating major transportation, carrier, warehouse, and 3PL agreements
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost models
- Experience with company-operated fleets and third-party transportation providers
- In-depth knowledge of truckload, LTL, rail, intermodal, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Global logistics experience including import/export and customs
- Ability to translate large data sets into actionable executive recommendations
