Responsibilities- Design HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, and automated temperature control systems
- Support project teams independently through design and construction stages
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external vendors for drawings and specifications
- Attend client meetings and present engineering concepts to stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee mechanical design work
- Track and coordinate HVAC, energy, controls, fire protection, plumbing, and fuel oil systems
- Develop project specifications and select major equipment
- Survey existing conditions and perform construction administration tasks
- Assist in proposals and business development activities
Key requirements- 7+ years designing mechanical systems for high-performing facilities (commercial, industrial, healthcare)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE), if eligible
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and written/verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, and other engineering analysis programs
- Knowledge of building and energy codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI)
