Overview As Manager, Field Services you lead Plant Services Program Managers to deliver on-site startup and maintenance work for NuScale NPMs. You translate senior direction into actionable goals, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the main escalation point for risks and issues. You ensure consistent, safe, and compliant field delivery while shaping program strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role offers impact by aligning field activities with NuScale's growth and strategic objectives, in a remote-friendly setup.
Responsibilities- Direct and oversee Plant Services Program Managers and field deliverables
- Set performance expectations, coach staff, and manage workloads for direct reports
- Review and approve financial planning activities and maintain budget accountability
- Translate leadership priorities into program objectives and report on performance to the Senior Director
- Integrate customer needs and business competencies into program strategies
- Establish performance standards and ensure consistent delivery across programs
- Serve as senior escalation point for process and delivery problems and coordinate resolutions
- Oversee field activities and governance, ensuring proper application of EVMS and policies
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure feasible commitments and appropriate resource allocation
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement compliant operational solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering (or related) or 20+ years of technical nuclear experience
- 15 years of full-time nuclear industry experience, including 5 in services delivery
- Senior Reactor Operator certification or equivalent nuclear startup/BD experience
- Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to apply project management principles across multiple nuclear projects
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and leadership in startup/refueling projects
- Ability to build, coach, and mentor teams
- Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810, with capability to work on NuScale site
