Overview As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead on-site execution for healthcare, hospital, and commercial builds to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget. You will coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety and healthcare regulations, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. Your role focuses on infection control and hospital safety while driving schedule adherence and quality. This position offers meaningful impact by enabling safe patient-centered healthcare facilities and efficient commercial spaces. You will partner with project teams to solve problems and continuously improve site operations.
Responsibilities- Direct and supervise on-site construction, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, and on-site labor to meet schedule and scope
- Develop and enforce daily/weekly construction schedules and resolve delays
- Implement safety programs (OSHA 30) and site-specific safety plans; conduct daily briefings
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (ICRA/ICRA plans, patient safety, restricted zones) on hospital projects
- Perform quality control inspections and address punchlist items
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, architects, owners, and facility reps to communicate progress and changes
- Maintain site documentation (daily reports, logs, RFIs, change directives, as-built records)
- Oversee materials, deliveries, storage, and site logistics to minimize waste and downtime
- Mentor field staff and foster a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture
Key requirements- 5+ years as Construction Superintendent on healthcare/hospital and commercial projects
- Background in construction management, field supervision, and scheduling of complex builds
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification
- Knowledge of healthcare construction protocols (ICRA/ICRA plans), infection control, and hospital coordination
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and contract documents; perform takeoffs
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, and enforce quality and safety
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, MS Office; strong field reporting
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites
- Relevant trade or construction degree, carpentry or trade background, or equivalent experience preferred
