Overview In this role you design, develop, install and maintain control systems across industries, helping clients monitor and automate complex processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust control solutions, from design through commissioning. You'll lead automation programming efforts for PLC/SCADA projects and drive system testing and deployment. This position offers exposure to diverse control platforms and a path to shape critical infrastructure and industrial systems.

Responsibilities- Originates design documents for both small projects and major programs
- Develops subsystem designs, CAD/Panels/Layouts/Wiring/SCADA screens, and specifications
- Performs QA/QC and technical design reviews
- Plans and designs procedures and fixtures for integrated systems
- Lead programming/configuration efforts for complex automation and SCADA apps
- Program/configure/troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and HMI systems
- Author and execute testing/commissioning procedures and reports
- Commission deployed systems and develop test fixtures/simulations
- Perform factory and field testing
- Troubleshoot service calls on existing/legacy systems; hardware/software upgrades
- Conduct client site surveys/tours for estimates; prepare cost estimates for small projects
- Assist senior engineers with bids/proposals and change order pricing
- Assign tasks to junior engineers and coordinate with technical staff
Key requirements- Experience reading electrical/control schematics and plans
- Experience with control system startup, configuration, calibration, testing and troubleshooting
- Experience with basic electrical and machinist tools
- Experience with testing/calibration tools and industry-specific tools/software
- Experience in computer networks
- CAD/CAE software experience (AutoCAD / EPLAN)
- Proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel)
- Proficient in ladder logic and structured text programming
- Ability to design, program and troubleshoot PLCs/DDCs on at least one platform (Siemens SIMATIC; Allen Bradley; Schneider Electric; etc.)
- Proficient in designing/troubleshooting SCADA solutions on at least one platform (e.g., AVEVA InTouch, Ignition, GE iFIX/CIMPLICITY, Siemens WinCC, Rockwell FactoryTalk View)
